SPECIAL NOTES AND SPECIAL EVENTS
CATA CONFERENCE 2007
MONDAY AFTERNOON OIL & GAS ISSUES FORUM – This issues forum will be lead by Renae Neilson with industry present. It is scheduled to start at 3:30. Anyone with any interest in oil & gas issues may want to try to be in attendance. Some of the issues that are expected to be discussed are net back, stripper wells, and equipment valuation.
MONDAY EVENING PIZZA AND BEVERAGE GATHERING – TYLERWORKS/ECS in conjunction with CATA, will once again provide a venue for an opening night introductory gathering. Please come and join in this gathering to greet old friends and possibly make some new connections over a slice of pizza. There will be a cash bar and limited pizza. Please understand that the intent of this event is to offer a place for us to gather and get re-acquainted, not necessarily as your primary meal for the day.
TUESDAY AFTERNOON LICENSING ISSUES FORUM – Members of the DPT and CAA education committee have agreed to lead a discussion concerning the issues of Assessor personnel licensing in Colorado. If you are in the process of attempting to upgrade your appraisal license, have recently upgraded your license, or have any intent of upgrading in the next couple of years, you may want to try to plan to be at this forum.
TUESDAY EVENINGS HAWAIIAN LUAU DANCE – Be prepared to come to the theme dance in your favorite Hawaiian Luau attire. There will be contests and prizes, and of course we will be passing on the infamous CATA Cup.
WEDNESDAY EVENING DINNER MEETING - If you indicated on your registration a desire to attend, your ticket will be given to you with your name badge at the conference. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you desire a vegetarian plate, please contact randerson@co.weld.co.us immediately! We are anticipating the bulk of our meeting this year will consist of electing the next CATA executive board. If you are interested in becoming a leader of this organization, we will be welcoming nominations from dinner attendees. You must be present at the dinner to be nominated. The dinner meeting will be held in the East Village of Copper Mountain resort. Transportation will be provided to and from the dinner.
NOON MEAL TIMES – Copper is working to provide us with adequate meal service for lunches, but at this time we have been notified that options will be similar to last year with the exception of the Imperial Palace, which will not be open. We will extend lunch time, but the board wants you to know we are aware of the situation and are doing what we can.
SUMMIT COUNTY TRANSPORTATION – The Summit Stage comes to Copper Mountain Resort and has various stops within Summit County. You can get to the bus schedule by going to www.co.summit.co.us and clicking on “Summit Stage Transportation.”
